On October 3rd, 2014, Mount Saint Mary Academy and the Student Assistance Counseling Team hosted an assembly for the entire student community on safe driving.  Gabriel Hurley was the guest speaker.  Speaking from personal experience and after overcoming his own physical and emotional obstacles at the hands of a reckless driver, he has decided to share his touching story with many high school students to help bring awareness to the importance of being a safe driver as well as to inspire others to make good choices, to maximize one’s potential, and to believe in one’s self. He is a 2003 graduate of St. Joseph’s and his sister is a 2000 graduate of Mount Saint Mary Academy.
